The trip location is on the Island of Vava’u in Tonga. Flights are not included. The trips offered start and end on Vava’u.

You can journey in however you’d like.

I find the best route is to go through Nadi in Fiji. It is a short flight operated by Fiji Airways. I always recommend staying at least a night in Fiji as a travel buffer. So factor that into the travel plans. Accommodations there can be as fancy or rustic as you’d like. Personally I like to stay at the Backpacker Hostel and can get a private room with basic facilities for USD$40 a night. You can also get a room at a nicer hotel for an average price of USD$220 per night.

Take a taxi to and from the airport for FJD$15.

Upon arrival to Vava’u I will meet you personally with a vehicle to provide transportation back to the group house.

This trip is a swim with whales trip. It will require the ability to swim up to 100 yards with a snorkel. It can be challenging to get on and off the boat so there are some physical limitations.

Travel insurance is a must and will be required to send a copy for contingency.

Tonga whale season 2024 we will be offering 4 swim with programs. Each program is 7 days long with 5 days in the water.

Each day will be approximately 7 hours on the boat as we search for best whales to swim with respectfully.

Guests will spend as much time in the water as weather, captain, and crew will allow.

Accommodations are provided for the 7 days and 6 nights.

Breakfast and Lunch and Dinner are provided. Alcohol is not included but is available. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated for.

All necessary transportation around the island is included and will utilize local drivers.

The total trip cost is $4500. This does not include flights to Tonga. I can help arrange them and give advice.

A non-refundable deposit of $1100 is required to hold a spot. Payments can be arranged, but must be completed 3 weeks prior to trip date.
